Hi, I'm Katie Hornor. Why do I paint with wine?
My fascination started on a sweltering afternoon in 2023 as I stood mesmerized watching a Parisian street artist create magic with just paper, a brush and a single bottle of wine. As an artist, I love the challenge of exacting different gradients from a single source, and the psychologist in me loves that the colors continue to change over time, as do we. Unless working on a commission piece, I paint for fun and relaxation. My inspiration comes from God's nature around me on the Space Coast of Florida, mainly the birds who frequent my backyard and make me laugh.

What does Vino & Mar mean?
The name is a nod to our expat missionary experiences living on the coast in Southern Mexico and our current home on an island off the Space Coast of Florida. Vino is Spanish for wine and Mar is Spanish for sea or ocean.
